Robo-mulcher to the rescue!

All of our Tree Surgeons at LJX are competent, fully trained, qualified, and ready to take on whatever task is in hand. From clearing trees to pruning, and felling, there is nothing they cannot do. But sometimes it is easier, safer, quicker, and more cost-effective to call on one of our specialist robot ‘friends’ for help.
Our Robo-mulcher (Roboflail), with its flail attachment is a great example of a robot machine that comes to our rescue on many occasions. This remotely-operated assistant is is one of our favourite pieces of kit. We use it when sites are either dangerous or tough to access and it is excellent at cutting through dense undergrowth. Leaving a beautiful, flat clear path in its wake, it allows our operators to gain easy and safe access to the site. They can then cut back larger trees and tidy up the edges, without having to handle any of the prickly material, risk a slip, trip or fall on hidden ground hazards.
Once the flail meets a tree, the operatives use pole-saws and ground saws to cut any overhanging branches away. The roboflail will then carve a path around the tree to help operators finish the job off unhindered.
LJX recently used the Roboflail in a job at Malcom’s Logistics in Linwood. We were tasked with clearing back shrubs and trees by 0.5 – 1m to ensure no vegetation/branches could be used by potential intruders to gain access to the yard over the security fencing. Our trusty Roboflail friend was used to clear vegetation around the security fence. This gave LJX Operators a safe route through to allow for the removal of any trees or shrubbery that would potentially help intruders over the security fence. In this instance, the perimeter fence was overgrown with dense, thick brambles, grass, nettles and assorted shrubbery.
This job made easy thanks to the Roboflail and the clearance was a success, with a neat and uniformed finish. The job was completed in a safe environment and more quickly than it would have been otherwise. This resulted in a lower cost for the client, who was very impressed with the end result. Humbly, so were we!
